To assess your financial and credit position when you apply for a product or service from us i.e. A Home Loan.
To whom Might We Disclose Your Personal Information to?
Sometimes we are required or authorised by law to disclose your personal information. Where possible, we will inform you, at or before the time of collecting your personal information, the types of organisations that we intend to
disclose your personal information to, example lenders or Baycorp Advantage. Other circumstances in which we may disclose your personal information would be to a Court of Tribunal in response to a request or in response to a subpoena or if requested by the Australian Taxation Office. Direct Marketing From time to time we may use your personal information to provide you with current information about mortgage loans, special offers you may find of interest, changes to our Company, or new products or services being offered by us or any company we are associated with, seminars, and conventions. Please note we will not give away or sell your personal details to anyone or any other company for marketing purposes. If you do not wish to receive marketing information, you may at any time decline to receive such information by contacting our office by telephone, fax, e-mail or post. We will take all reasonable steps to meet your request at the earliest possible opportunity. Authority Any authorisation or consent forms required by a Lender regarding the collection, use and or disclosure of client’s information, must be completed and forwarded to the Lender with a completed Application form. How Long Do We Keep Your Information? In line with The Privacy Act 1988 we are obliged to hold certain information about you for seven years, even if you are no longer a client of Gateway Home Loans Pty Ltd. However, after such time you can be assured we will destroy your personal information thoroughly and safely and securely.
